How to Use

Full-width spaces are converted to single half-width spaces.
Half-width dakuten (ﾞ) and handakuten (ﾟ) are combined with the preceding character.

Useful for normalizing full-width alphanumerics imported from Excel or legacy systems.

Convert full-width numbers to half-width for correct spreadsheet calculations.

Half-width kana is common in SMS and old systems; convert to full-width to avoid encoding issues.

Are hiragana characters converted?
Hiragana has no full-width/half-width distinction in Unicode, so they are not converted. Use the Hiragana⇔Katakana tool for that.

Are kanji characters converted?
Kanji also has no full-width/half-width distinction, so they are not converted. Only alphanumerics, symbols, and katakana are converted.
