FAQ

  • Q1

What if I donate over the limit?

The excess becomes your self-pay. For example, if your limit is ¥50,000 and you donate ¥60,000, your self-pay becomes ¥12,000.

  • Q2

One-Stop vs Tax Return - which is better?

The deduction amount is the same. However, One-Stop is limited to 5 municipalities. If filing for medical deductions, you must include Furusato tax.

  • Q3

Why does my result differ from other sites?

Different estimation methods for social insurance and deductions cause variations. The most accurate is using your withholding slip.

  • Q4

    What if my income fluctuates?

The limit is based on Jan-Dec income. If uncertain, estimate conservatively to avoid over-donating.
